In Advance of the Broken Arm — 1915; 1964

First named readymade: snow shovel purchased 1915, inscribed, and suspended from the studio ceiling. Original lost; 1964 Galleria Schwarz edition.

Trébuchet (Trap) — 1917; 1964

Reported coatrack left on the floor, later nailed down. Shearer highlights geometry inconsistencies across views.

Hatrack — 1916–18; 1964

Lost original; known via photos and blueprints; Shearer argues no single 3D reconstruction matches all evidence.

Fountain — 1917; 1964

1917 urinal signed “R. Mutt”; original lost. Shearer claims the Stieglitz photo shows compositing and two urinals in 1917.

Bicycle Wheel (with Stool) — 1913; 1916–17; 1964

Prototype readymade (1913). Later version lost. Shearer: blueprint vs edition symmetry issues; decentered axis in modeling.
